Home-Made Hamburger Buns (Bread Machine)

Current Inspire Me Friday link-up HERE!

Homemade Hamburger Buns

I will never buy hamburger buns
or sandwich rolls again!

Seriously!

Since finding this recipe I have
made these buns at least every
other day! They are now a
favorite among family and
friends.

Home made Hamburger Buns

Ingredients

    • 1 1/4 cups milk, slightly warmed
    • 1 beaten egg
    • 2 tablespoons butter
    • 1/4 cup white sugar
    • 3/4 teaspoon salt
    • 3 3/4 cups bread flour
    • 1 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast

Directions

  1. Place all ingredients in pan of bread machine according to manufacturer's directions.
  2. Select dough setting.
  3. When cycle is complete, turn out onto floured surface.
  4. Cut dough in half and roll each half out to a 1" thick circle.
  5. Cut each half into six 3 1/2" rounds with inverted glass as a cutter.
  6. Place on greased baking sheet far apart and brush with melted butter.
  7. Cover and let rise until doubled, about one hour.
  8. Bake at 350° for 9 minutes.
Note: Oven temperatures vary so check after 9 minutes to see if done. Some reviewers baked these anywhere from 12 to 30 minutes.
    from Food.com

Honestly, I make these so often, I don't even roll them into cute little bun shapes any more.  super easy!

are you a NO-REPLY blogger?

Have you ever wanted to contact someone who
left a lovely comment on your blog or directly
respond to a question left in your comments?

Many bloggers have their blog comments
emailed to them so they won't miss any!
But if you don't have your profile set to
show your email...
you
are
no-reply blogger!
{{insert scary Jaws music here}}

If you are wanting to change yours,
here's a wee tutorial.

1. When you sign into your blogger account, you are brought to   your "dashboard". Where you can see your blog name(s).

2.  Click on your Profile in the upper right-hand corner.
3.  Click on your Blogger Profile
4.  Click Edit Profile
5.  Under Privacy, check the box "show my email address."
6.  Scroll to the bottom of the page and "Save Profile"

That was probably easier than you thought, huh?

**Google Plus users probably will have to temporarily "Revert to Blogger Profile" to make the change. You'll find that in the lower drop down menu on your dashboard
under your profile picture.

Did you find this post helpful? Are there any other blogging procedures you're curious about?

The Chicken Coop is now open!

We've added six little ladies to our family.

out from the heat lamp and into the sunlight

They've reached their six week milestone and
are moving into their newly built chicken coop.
Can you see the excitement in their eyes?

When their little chicken feet first touched the
grass, they froze like statues. They weren't sure
how to walk in it. too funny!

marching one by one to their new home
The kids gently marched them to their new home.

We have raised chickens off & on throughout
our married life, mostly the Araucana chickens
that lay the blue eggs. However, after a harrowing
dog experience we took a break.

Now since building the new reinforced coop, I'm
hoping this flock survives and supplies us with
lovely fresh eggs over the next few years!

Have you ever raised chickens?
